Upcoming Events: World Cafe ala OLLI
Do you enjoy stimulating conversation?
Come and join a global network of people who believe that change in the world starts with conversation over a cup of coffee or tea. You will build skills in listening mindfully, thinking creatively, and changing the world for the better. I will be hosting the World Cafe ala OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Center) through the University of North Dakota starting January 28, 2008. For an OLLI brochure click here!
Attention sports parents!

Transition: A time to mourn or a time to thrive?
Dear Bev This spring my firstborn son Alex will graduate from high school. I have been experiencing waves of emotion every time I think about how fast he has grown up. The advice of “enjoy every moment for they grow up so fast” is truly the biggest understatement in life! Oh, how I wish I could turn back the hands of time and have that cuddly baby in my arms again!
What about you? Are you also experiencing life transition? Life transitions can include children growing up and out of the house, retirement, a new job, a new career, going back to college, re-location, divorce, death in the family, changes in health, etc. People wonder why these life transitions are so tough. Part of it might be due to hitting an age when we start to think about what we want for the second half of our lives, and how to give life more meaning. As one person stated, “In the first half of my life I focused on the WHAT. In the second half of my life, I am focusing on the WHY.” To her, getting grounded in her spiritual beliefs overtook the previous role of creating a family and a home.
Starting Wednesday, April 9, I will be starting some coaching groups that address some of these issues. See below for class descriptions and schedule, and consider signing up... it's a great way to get “unstuck” and move forward in your life and wellness goals!
Cheers to life and health,
